HERNANDO, Fla. — A 59-year-old man faces methamphetamine and fentanyl trafficking charges after Citrus County deputies reported finding more than a pound of drugs during a Sept. 19 search of a Hernando home.
Paul Michael Sawka was arrested after the sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit and SWAT team served a search warrant on North Bucknell Terrace, according to FOX 13’s reporting, which cites the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said repeated commands for occupants to leave the residence went unanswered before SWAT officers forced entry.
Investigators reported seizing 434.5 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of fentanyl and 19.5 grams of cocaine, along with cannabis, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
The reported charges also include controlled-substance possession, possession with intent to sell, possession of paraphernalia and knowingly allowing a structure to be used for drug trafficking.
The allegations have not been established in court. The report does not provide Sawka’s plea, bond status or a response from his attorney.
